Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Hatchery Clerk to provide essential administrative support for hatchery operations in Salisbury, NC. You will handle calls, data entry for egg sets and chick placement, and maintain reports while supporting daily office activities.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, plus strong reading, writing, communication, analytical and math skills. Competitive benefits and a wage of $17.50–$26.50 per hour with possible overtime are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, communication, analytical, and math skills.
• Business classes and/or schooling in office administration and computers.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones professionally and relay messages for Hatchery Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Enter egg set, chick hatch, and chick placement data daily into mainframe applications.
• Disseminate daily chick delivery schedules and processing stack-off plans.
• Process invoices promptly and manage filing system including sensitive personnel data.
• Manage supply inventory and ordering; adhere to safety requirements.
