Job summary

Pilgrim’s Hatchery Driver role involves the safe, efficient transport of eggs and chicks from hatcheries, with emphasis on timely delivery and proper documentation. This position supports the hatchery and production teams to uphold safety, quality, and reliability across the supply chain.

Expect to operate commercial trucks, perform inspections, maintain equipment, and communicate clearly with farm staff, maintenance, and supervisors.

Qualifications

12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Ability to operate a manual CMV preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently.
Conduct equipment inspections following company guidelines and report issues to the Supervisor.
Operate trucks in a manner that maintains product quality and integrity.
Communicate effectively with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors regarding farm conditions and other information.
Maintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
Place each load as directed.
Follow the housekeeping schedule, using proper techniques and PPE.
Foster a positive work environment through cooperative communication and teamwork.
Other duties as assigned.
