Job summary

Seed- in Denver seeks a Harvest Team Member to support trim floor operations. You will assist with plant harvesting, de-fanning, drying, trimming, labeling, and packaging while maintaining quality and compliance with Seed- SOPs. You’ll join a fast-paced team, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Harvesting of plants with de-fanning and hanging; efficient and accurate.
  • Dry trimming and deboning; speed and accuracy required.
  • Stay aware of strain being harvested; keep labeling and organization accurate.
  • Assist with trimming, cleaning, packaging, and batch organization on non-harvest days.
  • Clean HVAC equipment and change filters for dehumidification.
  • Quality control on the trim floor and ensure flow of the trim crew.
  • Maintain compliance with laws and Seed and Smith SOPs.

Job description

Reports To: Trim Manager

Required Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Harvesting of Plants: Should be efficient both with “de-fanning” and “hanging”
  • Dry trimming and de-boning and know the different techniques for the various strains harvested. Speed and accuracy are a must.
  • Harvest team members must be aware of what strain they are harvesting and must stay organized to ensure no product is mislabeled or misplaced.
  • ·All team members should help in keeping the work environment clean and always help clean before breaks or at the end of the day.
  • Harvesters will be part of the following list of tasks when it is not a harvest day: Trimming, cleaning, packaging of product, organization of harvest batches. Cleaning HVAC equipment and filter changes for dehumidification equipment.
  • · This position will serve as our quality control staff on the trim floor and will ensure the quality and accuracy of the 3rd party trim crew. This position should set the pace for the trim room environment and always keep the flow of the trim crew at its highest efficiency.
  • Must be aware of all laws surrounding compliance in medical or retail business operations. Must be detail oriented enough to assist with tracking plant waste and other aspects of maintaining compliance according to local regulators and Seed and Smith SOPs

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel for extended periods and repetitively throughout a workday
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft.) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs
  • Ability to work in a dusty/high pollen and allergen environment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • This position starts at $19.50 – $20.00 depending on experience
