Job summary

710 Labs is seeking a meticulous Harvest Technician to support our cannabis processing team in Oakland, CA. This on-site role focuses on trimming, weighing, and quality control to preserve trichome integrity and meet SOPs.

You will work under the Harvest Manager to ensure efficient daily production. Candidates should be able to stand, squat, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours, while maintaining accuracy in data entry and METRC tagging.

Qualifications

• Must be able to sit, squat, stand, kneel, or walk throughout the workday.
• Must perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours with good cadence and accuracy.
• Must work a Monday–Friday schedule (7:45AM–4:15PM).

Responsibilities

• Constant observation of the FF processing room to forecast harvest timing.
• Scout room prior to harvest; check plant quantities and report pests or pathogens.
• Harvest whole plants following SOPs to maintain trichome integrity and follow biosecurity protocols.
• Ensure METRC tags remain attached to plants during harvest.
• Train and weigh harvested plants; enter weights and METRC tags into spreadsheets, Dynamics, and METRC.
• Maintain correct storage and destruction of METRC tags.
• Trim cannabis flowers according to product type (water hash or solvent extraction).
• Conform to safety postures (standing/sitting) as required; perform other tasks assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in processing/trimming cannabis, have an understanding of the differences in flower structure among multiple cultivars, and work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail. The Harvester will be reporting to the Harvest Manager & the Harvest Supervisor for all daily tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Constant observation of the FF processing room to forecast when plants will need to be harvested throughout the day
• Scouting the room prior to harvest, checking the plant quantity of each cultivar, and reporting any pests or pathogens(powdery mildew, botrytis) to the Processing Manager
• Harvesting whole plants for processing with care - following the SOP to maintain trichome integrity and follow biosecurity protocols
• Ensuring METRC tags remain attached to individual plants during harvest
• Running harvested plants to the processing roomWeighing whole plants directly after harvest with accurate data entry of weights and individual plant METRC tags into spreadsheets, Dynamics, and METRC - following the SOP provided
• Maintain correct storage and destruction of all individual plant METRC tags
• Trim cannabis flowers according to manufacturing product type: water hash or solvent extraction
• Standing/squatting/sitting with arms extended for long periods of time
• Any other task assigned by the Processing Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications:

• For extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
• Must be able to exert well-paced mobility and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Must be able to work a weekly schedule Monday - Friday 7:45AM - 4:15PM

Compensation + Benefits:

• Pay Range: $19.50/hour
• Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K with company match, paid time off, and holidays.
