Job summary

JBS Foods in Utah is seeking a production supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure staffing, and maintain quality in a fast-paced beef processing environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills, a basic understanding of beef production, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience managing teams in manufacturing or production.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate staffing for operations.
• Supervise production area; provide on-the-job coaching.
• Meet volume goals while reducing claims and costs.
• Coordinate with Union, USDA, Quality Control and Maintenance.
• Oversee hiring moves and turnover reduction.
• Facilitate team meetings and uphold company policies.
• Maintain safety regulations and a positive working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Management experience in a manufacturing or production environment

• Knowledge of beef production processes a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures area is properly staffed to meet operational needs
• Monitors production area by evaluating product and administering corrective procedures as sees fit (i.e. provides on the job training and support to supervisor).
• Meets volume goals, Reduce claims, Maximize yields, Reduce costs
• Maintain a good working relationship with Union, USDA, Quality Control and Maintenance employees
• Manage the movement of bids, new hire placement, and turnover reduction
• Facilitate and/or participate in group meetings
• Ensure company policies are being followed
• Maintains work safety regulations.
• Greets and speaks with personnel to provide cohesive working environment
• Other duties as assigned
