Job summary

JBS USA in Green Bay is seeking a Harvest QA Technician to support our food safety and quality programs. You will audit compliance with USDA regulations, verify SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs, and perform HACCP tasks to ensure product safety.

This role requires flexibility, ability to work in hot and cold environments, standing for long periods, and good English communication. You will collaborate with production teams and assist the QA supervisor with data gathering and record keeping.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends.
• Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills preferred
• Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality assurance practices preferred.
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request.
• Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Maintain work station by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
