Job summary

BrightFarms Inc. is seeking a HarvestLead for our Hendersonville, NC greenhouse to coordinate daily harvest planning and crew performance on a second shift. The role focuses on safety, adherence to SOPs, and achieving production targets in a fast-paced environment.

You will train staff, maintain records, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure quality and compliant operations while upholding food-safety standards and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a production environment or related work experience.
• Food safety and sanitation training is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, safety rules, and label instructions.
• Ability to complete routine logs related to food safety and inspections.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the harvest and sowing crew to meet daily plan and goals; correct errors and provide feedback.
• Train crew in operating procedures with emphasis on safety and sanitation.
• Adhere to all SOPs, procedures, inspections and quality requirements.
• Communicate with supervisor when product or equipment irregularities occur.
• Create daily harvest and sowing plan under supervisor guidance.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of tests and charts per guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; perform periodic sanitation.
• Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor or Senior Management.
