Job summary

Freeman Vineyard and Winery in Sebastopol, CA, is seeking a harvest intern for the 2025 vintage. The role offers hands-on exposure to all aspects of winemaking in a small winery setting, with on-site training and a focus on learning the craft of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production.

Interns will participate in fruit sampling, sorting, fermentation monitoring, and various cellar duties, with lunch provided and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Able to start work from the beginning of August until the end of October
• Able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods
• Previous winery experience appreciated but not required; on‑the‑job training provided
• Needs to provide own transportation and housing

Responsibilities

• Stack cases, fill cases, tape cases and label cases
• Fruit sampling
• Fruit sorting
• Cleaning winery and equipment
• Cleaning barrels
• Monitoring fermentation
• Punchdowns
