Job summary

Johnsonville, Holton, KS is seeking team members for the Harvest department to disassemble and trim sow carcasses for sausage production. The role involves handling the sow’s body or body parts on the Harvest Floor, with line-speed learning across several tasks.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; knife skills are welcome but not required, and safety and GMP adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knife skills preferred but not required.
• Must be able to hand grip/lift up to 50 lbs, push 30 lbs, and pull 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing sow carcasses for further sausage processing
• Removing hide and internal organs, trimming, and inspecting the sow's carcass
• Cleaning, sharpening, and maintaining knives, tools and equipment
• Learn and perform several job functions in department at line speed
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Safety policies
• Attend all plant meetings and complete monthly safety observations and trainings
• Complete all other duties as assigned
