Qualifications

• 1+ years of harvest floor, slaughter, or meat processing experience preferred.
• Motivated candidates without direct harvest experience may be considered if eager to learn.
• Physically capable of standing, heavy lifting, and work in hot/cold/damp conditions.
• Knife skills or willingness to develop them on the job.
• Livestock handling background is a plus.
• Beef primal and subprimal cuts knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Perform all phases of harvest: stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely per welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep equipment in good working order.
• Keep workstations, walls, equipment, and the harvest floor clean and sanitized at all times.
• Follow HACCP protocols and food safety requirements.
• Support barn duties: weighing, feeding, watering livestock as skills develop.
• Assist with sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup.
