Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Director of Manufacturing (Harness) to lead the end-to-end production of satellite wiring harnesses and associated assembly. You will drive safety, quality, and cost improvements while coordinating staffing and production lines for complex flight hardware.

You will mentor technicians and engineers, partner with engineering for manufacturability, and guide transitions from low-rate to high-rate production across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, test engineering, materials and process engineering in Aerospace or related industries.
• Subject matter expertise in harnessing, PCB assemblies, structural assembly, structural bonding, mechanisms, or composite honeycomb machining.
• High proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with a union represented workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to manufacturing personnel and ensure safe, high‑quality production while pursuing cost improvements.
• Monitor capacity, workforce, throughput, and bottlenecks; plan staffing and production lines.
• Oversee harness production, assembly, and transition to higher production rates and alternate locations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with engineering to optimize manufacturability.
• Mentor harness technicians and manufacturing engineers to maintain safety and precision.
• Support proposals and coordinate with leadership on budgets and objectives.
