Job summary

Victory Programs is seeking a Harm Reduction Social Worker to deliver specialized mental health and harm reduction services in a transitional housing setting. The role reports to the Program Director for supervision and guidance, with a strong focus on safety and client-centered care.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work, knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, homelessness, substance use, STIs, and related health issues.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal communication and open, affirming conversations about sex and substance use risk.
• Knowledge of group facilitation.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel; CPR certification and TB screening may be obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Act in accordance with Victory Programs' Standards of Excellence and maintain client confidentiality.
• Provide daily support to clients experiencing mental health episodes and active substance use.
• Support staff in client engagement and interactions.
• Provide crisis intervention and lead follow-up on client issues.
• Develop and facilitate client groups weekly and complete required documentation.
• Engage in coordinated case planning with case managers and housing staff.
