Job summary

Clark County is seeking a Community Health Worker (CHW) to operate in a population-based practice setting in Washington. The CHW will provide culturally competent public health services, staff the Harm Reduction Syringe Services Program, and assist with STI HIV clinic support across on-site and community locations.

The position reports to the Program Manager and offers an 8-hour schedule Monday through Friday. Remote/hybrid work is possible, with residency required in OR or WA.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in counseling or health outreach.
• Bilingual ability may be required depending on community served.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person harm reduction services and outreach at the Harm Reduction Center and community sites.
• Assist clients in accessing services and referrals ( psychosocial support, treatment, enrollment into health plans, etc.).
• Support syringe services program with client intake, counseling, and referrals.
• Participate in outreach events and clinical services support, including check-in and specimen handling.
