Job summary

Woodhaven Furniture in Cairo, GA seeks a Hardwood Mill Manager to lead daily operations of the Hardwood Mill, driving safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement. This hands-on leadership role requires building a high-performing team and optimizing mills to support downstream manufacturing.

You will oversee production scheduling, workflow, labor utilization and cost control while fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years progressive manufacturing experience with leadership
• Experience in hardwood processing, woodworking or cabinetry preferred
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Hardwood Mill and ensure timely production of components
• Lead production scheduling, workflow management and labor utilization
• Maintain quality standards and control operating costs
• Coach and develop supervisors and employees; foster safety culture
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with Maintenance to maximize uptime
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and CNC Operations to meet specifications
• Analyze production data to improve yield, throughput and efficiency
• Review performance metrics and communicate priorities to leadership team
