Position Summary

Thompson Hardwoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Sawmill Supervisor to oversee daily sawmill production operations at our Hazlehurst, Georgia facility. This leadership role is responsible for supervising production employees, maintaining safe and efficient operations, ensuring product quality, and meeting production goals in a fast‑paced hardwood sawmill environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily sawmill production activities
• Lead and support production employees to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
• Monitor workflow, equipment performance, and production output

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and physically demanding industrial environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, and inspect production areas
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
