Job summary

AMD is seeking an organized, hands-on Lab Operations professional to own and optimize the test lab environment in Austin. You will manage day-to-day lab operations, ensure safety, maintain equipment, and support engineering through proper setups and asset control.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hardware or system test environments, preferably within semiconductors, embedded systems, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, protocol analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Demonstrated experience managing lab infrastructure and inventory, including asset tracking tools and basic procurement workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day test lab operations, including access control, safety practices, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Configure and maintain lab workstations, benches, racks, and test setups for hardware and/or software validation.
  • Coordinate calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance for lab equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of boards, components, fixtures, instruments, and consumables using an asset-tracking system.
  • Provide hands-on support for board bring-up, system integration.
