Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer II to design and execute comprehensive tests for advanced instrumentation and embedded hardware. You will collaborate with electrical, optical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to validate performance, reliability, and manufacturability before product release.

This role emphasizes hands-on lab work, test automation, and data-driven decision making, with opportunities to lead root-cause analyses and contribute to robust test strategies

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on hardware test experience in a lab environment.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and execute test plans and procedures.
• Proficient with automated test equipment (ATE) and data acquisition.
• Strong scripting and data-analysis skills for test results.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and validation protocols from product specs.
• Define acceptance criteria for electrical, optical, mechanical, environmental, and system tests.
• Lead or support DVT/EVT/PVT and product qualification activities.
• Perform verification, validation, reliability, and performance testing.
• Build lab fixtures, test stations, and automated test equipment (ATE).
• Develop automated test solutions and data reporting tools (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C++).
• Analyze test data using statistical methods and report findings to leadership.
• Identify design weaknesses and assist root-cause investigations and CAPAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across lifecycle stages.
