Job summary

Dexcom in San Diego is seeking a Hardware Engineer 2 to join a fast-paced team developing and supporting hardware test stations for CGM product development. You will design, build, deploy test platforms, work with software, automation, and instrumentation, and help ensure reliability across the product lifecycle.

Collaboration with electrical, firmware, process, quality, and manufacturing engineers is essential to define test requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with automated test systems and scripting languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, Python).
• Experience in test development of electronic devices, fixture design and debugging.
• Experience with data acquisition instrumentation and SMUs (National Instruments).
• Familiar with PCB design, 3D printing, soldering, mechanical assembly, and system/fixture integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and support hardware test stations for current and next-gen CGM product development within R&D.
• Develop and maintain test software, automation tools, and scripts to enable robust test coverage.
• Own the lifecycle of assigned test stations, including system integration, qualification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and instrumentation issues to ensure reliable station performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, process, quality, systems and manufacturing engineers to define test requirements.
