Job summary

Red 6 is seeking a meticulous Hardware Technician to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems for augmented reality applications. The role requires precise workmanship, adherence to industry standards, and teamwork on a fast-growing startup floor or lab environment.

As the first production technician, you will also handle inventory, shipping, and receiving, shaping our production system while contributing to Lean practices. U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in electronics assembly or production in aerospace/high-reliability environments.
• Familiarity with testing procedures, diagnostic equipment, and troubleshooting techniques for electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate electronic components, circuit boards, and wiring systems following engineering schematics and work instructions; perform soldering, crimping, and wire harnessing per IPC standards.
• Conduct functional tests on electronic assemblies and document results and repairs in production logs and ERP systems.
• Assist in development and implementation of new production processes and continuous improvement initiatives; collaborate with engineering and QA teams to improve product performance.
