  1. PCB and FPC design, and cross-functional system integration
  2. Bench validation, electrical function verification, and signal characterization
  3. Hands on debug and failure analysis of manufacturing, component quality, reliability, and system coexistence issues
  4. Factory build support from early NPI through product ramp
  5. Early architecture handoff, technology concept investigations and prototyping

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant industry hardware experience
  • Excellent EE fundamentals with a solid understanding in one or more of the following areas: system integration product design, processor and component selection, embedded communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, UART, JTAG/SWD), signal integrity and power delivery networks, power electronics and switching converters, sensor and low power module design.
  • Experience with schematic capture, constraint driven PCB layout using Cadence tools or similar. Strong working knowledge of prototyping, hardware bringup, bench debug and validation. Hands on experience with standard EE lab equipment. (e.g. DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Electronic Load, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer)
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to convey technical information in a clear manner adapted to the audience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in similar high volume consumer electronics, and experience in hardware development with significant form factor and technology integration constraints
  • System experience with sensitive sensor design and integration, debugging system coexistence issues including RF/wireless aggressors and EMC/ESD related problems.
  • Ability to approach problems with creativity, and develop innovative solutions.
  • An eagerness to take on new challenges, learn new skills, and continually develop by staying open minded & curious.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership, with the ability to comprehensively handle tasks from start to finish independently.
