We are seeking a motivated, technical Quality Engineer to test and validate Apple’s inductive firmware and software for next-generation devices including iPhone, Watch, Pencil, and beyond. Description

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative engineer who:

  1. Independently owns and follows up with developers and hardware engineers to resolve issues.
  2. Engages with developers, program managers, and leadership to solve highly technical challenges.
  3. Analyzes how new features or designs impact the system from a technical risk and customer experience perspective.
  4. Is passionate about improving efficiency through automation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in firmware testing and/or development.
  • Proven skills in bug hunting and regression testing in embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience shipping quality consumer products at scale.
  • Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DAQs.
  • Experience with test automation using Python, Bash, Swift, or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of embedded software architecture and languages like C, Objective-C, C++.
  • Experience with USB-C, USB Power Delivery, and other USB protocols.
  • Developing and deploying test automation tools and frameworks.
  • CAD design experience for test fixtures.
  • Data visualization experience with tools like Splunk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range for this role is $143,100 to $264,200. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, and educational reimbursement.
