Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer in the Sunnyvale area to own system-, hardware-, and EE-level requirements for a strategic product. You will decompose vehicle-level requirements, define EE test benches, and establish architecture using model-based methods, ensuring traceability and compliance.

You will work with hardware, embedded, perception, and autonomy software teams, shaping the verification strategy and partnering with QA to meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems or hardware systems engineering experience.
• Experience deriving and allocating requirements from higher-level vehicle-level requirements.
• Familiarity with MBSE/SysML and model-based environments.
• Ability to define test benches and rigs and ensure traceability.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Decompose vehicle-level requirements into system-, hardware-, and EE-level requirements.
• Define the EE architecture for test benches and rigs, including HIL setups.
• Use Cameo (MBSE/SysML) to build, maintain, and analyze architecture and variant management.
• Own validation and verification of requirements at system and hardware levels and ensure traceability.
• Define processes for ASPICE Level 2 compliance and configure Polarion and Cameo accordingly.
• Collaborate daily with hardware, embedded, perception, and autonomy software teams.
