Job summary

Google Mountain View is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer Manager to provide manufacturing capabilities for high-quality hardware products. You will evaluate designs, establish processes, and partner with component vendors to maintain controlled, repeatable manufacturing while working with cross-functional teams to meet product requirements.

You will lead design-for-manufacturing reviews, drive process improvements, and ensure supply continuity during ramp by identifying manufacturability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Operations, Hardware Engineering, Materials or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of manufacturing experience in surface finishing, CNC, 3D printing, PVD, painting, MIM, polishing and lapping.
• 8 years of people management experience.
• Experience in mechanical bonding such as riveting, press fits, laser welding and adhesives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver Google Hardware products to market.
• Provide detailed design for manufacturing reviews of mechanical parts and recommend improvements for quality, yield and cost.
• Use statistical process control and yield studies to validate process capability (Cp/Cpk) and drive process improvements.
• Identify manufacturability issues during engineering builds to ensure product quality and supply stability.
