Job summary

Google in Austin, TX is seeking a Product Engineer to review product designs and help optimize assembly and testing processes for high‑scale server gear.

You will work with ODMs, contract producers, and component suppliers to ensure repeatable manufacturing and seamless integration with Google's data center hardware.

The role involves onsite collaboration with production teams and occasional travel to supplier facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required.
• 4-year certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with supply chains in assembling and testing.
• Experience with ODMs, CMps, and server hardware suppliers.
• Familiarity with ASIC DFT and ATE test processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead reviews to drive design and test improvements.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled.
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to meet Google's infrastructure needs.
• Oversee onboarding of new BOMs into PDM and coordinate NPI readiness.
• Ensure product quality targets and reliability benchmarks are met.
