Job summary

Corelation, based in San Diego, California, is seeking a Hardware Services Specialist to install and support KeyStone servers, Unix/Linux OS, and related applications. Under the Manager, Hardware Services, you will handle planning, implementation, and troubleshooting of server hardware and software, and support network operations.

You will provide end-user training, contribute to project planning, and create documentation using Atlassian and Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in KeyStone server projects including replacements, migrations, and moves.
• Contributes input to planning and implementation phases.
• Supports internal staff and clients on PC hardware, software, and peripheral products, server access methods, encryption and VPN connectivity.
• Creates and maintains departmental process and policy documentation using Atlassian and Microsoft products.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Role Description

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Hardware Services, performs complex professional work with computer hardware, software, and network systems. Installs and supports KeyStone servers including Unix/Linux operating systems and applications software. Installs and supports personal computers, and network operations; provides hardware and software planning and evaluation; provides problem solving and training for end users; and ensures systems efficiency and integrity. Provides research and support for new technologies to be used in the client environment.

Requirements: Provides preliminary support for the KeyStone server installation process, which includes planning, implementing, and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software, and virtualized environments (IBM or VMWare).

Qualifications

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience is desired.

Pay
