Job summary

Vivint is seeking a Hardware Strategic Sourcing Manager to be based in Seattle, WA on a hybrid schedule. The role leads supplier sourcing, relationships and roadmaps, ensuring key parts are on-time with required quality, while collaborating with Hardware Engineering, Program Management and Technical Operations to support NPI and ramp plans.

Expect 5–7 years in supplier/supply chain roles, strong cost modelling, and proven cross-functional collaboration in consumer electronics.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing.
• 5–7 years direct supplier/supply chain management experience.
• Cross-functional experience in consumer electronics is preferred.
• Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools.
• Strong analytical, cost modelling and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Standardize supply chain processes.
• Develop supplier sourcing strategies aligned with Vivint needs.
• Conduct supplier selection, RFQ, and final negotiations.
• Prepare for and negotiate supplier agreements on pricing, delivery, and terms.
• Develop contingency plans for long lead times and single-sourcing.
• Work with partners to resolve part shortages affecting production.
• Manage ramp plans, production forecasts, and tooling life.
• Influence supplier technology roadmaps and meet requirements.
• Maintain executive-level supplier relationships.
• Provide updates on cost, schedule, design and risk.
• Lead regular reviews of strategic sourcing plans.
