Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client in Foster City, CA is seeking a Hardware Software Integration Engineer to join the Software department. The role focuses on debugging hardware-software issues, collaborating across functions, and creating test plans for manufacturing support in the autonomous vehicle space.

The candidate will develop test automation, work with CAN/Ethernet interfaces, and contribute to future product improvements using Python and debugging tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience diagnosing hardware, firmware, and software issues.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, CAN, USB, UART, LIN, I2C, SPI and related testing/debugging tools.
• Proficiency in Python and version control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive debugging of hardware-software issues to closure.
• Identify and collaborate with cross-functional partners to root cause and resolve issues.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams to enhance future product versions.
• Understand vehicle assembly and testing requirements; develop test plans and specifications for manufacturing support.

As a Hardware Software Integration Engineer, you will be part of the Software department supporting the Hardware Software Integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $75/hour + Benefits

• Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, USB, UART, LIN, I2C, SPI, and related testing/debugging tools.

• Familiarity with requirements and test case development processes.

• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages, version control tools, and debugging utilities.
