Job summary

manpowe is seeking a Hardware Engineer in Foster City, CA to join the Hardware Development Department supporting the Test Development team. This contract role focuses on hands-on hardware testing and collaboration with design and system engineers to advance vehicle hardware initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in engineering and 4+ years of experience in electronics development, testing automotive components, and proficiency with lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering related to hardware development.
• 4+ years of professional hardware testing experience.
• Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, environmental chambers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Knowledge of design tools like Altium, 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Catia), and scripting in Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute component and system-level hardware testing procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize hardware performance.
• Conduct testing on early prototypes and qualification testing on modules for vehicle use.
• Create custom test assets such as load simulators, test harnesses, and Python scripts.
• Draft and present Test Plans, Design Reviews, and Data Reviews to ensure quality standards.
