Job summary

CBL Solutions in San Jose is seeking a Hardware Rework Technician to join our lab. The role focuses on precision PCBA modifications, fine-pitch component rework, and debug prototyping across enterprise firewall and security hardware platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on PCBA rework in an R&D/NPI setting, strong experience with high-density SMT, and proficiency with Metcal/JBC/Hakko rework tools, microscopes, and DMMs. Reading schematics and ECOs is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-density SMT and miniature components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, PCB assembly drawings, and ECO instructions.

Looking for highly skilled Hardware Rework Technician to join our San Jose hardware development lab. In this role, you will be the core technical expert responsible for precision PCBA modifications, fine-pitch component rework, and debug prototyping across our next-generation enterprise firewall, security appliance, and hardware accelerator platforms.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on PCBA rework, micro-soldering, or electronics lab experience in an R&D/NPI environment.
• Strong experience with high-density SMT and miniature component rework.
• Hands-on experience with Metcal, JBC, Hakko, hot-air rework tools, DMMs, and microscopes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, PCB assembly drawings, and ECO instructions.

Preferred:

IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or IPC-7711/7721 certification and experience with complex, high-layer-count/high-speed digital PCBAs.
