Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Hardware Technical Program Manager for Infrastructure Partner Operations in San Francisco. You will lead operational delivery with external infrastructure partners, driving governance, SLAs, incident management, and performance reporting to support OpenAI’s growth.

The role requires establishing repeatable operating rhythms, building dashboards, and coordinating with Hardware Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, Capacity Planning, Networking, Deployment, and Reliability

Qualifications

7+ years in Technical Program Management or related infra environments.
Experience managing relationships with external providers and cloud/hardware vendors.
Strong understanding of hyperscale cloud infrastructure and data center operations.
Experience defining KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

Own operational engagement with third-party providers and SLAs.
Develop governance with partners, exec reporting, and improvement plans.
Define and improve metrics for availability, deployment, incidents, and performance.
Build dashboards to show partner performance, risks, and trends.
Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve issues and unblock delivery.
Lead escalations for availability, deployment, capacity, and performance.
Establish regular operating rhythms with partners and internal teams.
Align with Capacity Planning, Hardware Ops, Networking, Deployment, Reliability, Supply Chain.
