Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support complex hardware development programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Technical Project Manager will play a key supporting role to Program Managers, helping drive execution across Cable Backplane Systems production test and signal integrity initiatives while developing into a full program ownership capacity.

This is a full-time position, and the Technical Project Manager will sit onsite in RTP, NC, with travel

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in project coordination or management within manufacturing, hardware, or mechanical settings.
Able to communicate across technical teams and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
Willingness to travel 50–60% initially.

Responsibilities

Support planning, budgeting, and execution of complex hardware development projects.
Act as a communication bridge between internal teams and Program Managers on schedules and priorities.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to keep programs on track.
Monitor scope, timelines, and financials; escalate risks and resource gaps as needed.
Apply Design for Manufacturability principles and readiness for production.
