Job summary

Geater Machining & Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a finishing operator to prepare, mix, and apply coatings to parts according to blueprints and specifications.

You will mask, clean, and prep parts, select proper fixtures, and use measuring devices to verify conformance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with manufacturing exposure preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine prep/deprep.
• Mix paints and inks with correct thinner solution to achieve proper consistency for application.
• Apply paint per product requirements and specifications.
• Mask parts and clean parts before/after coating as needed.
• Select holding fixtures, attachments, and materials for proper application.
• Verify finished parts meet specifications using measuring devices.

The basic function of the Finishing Operations is to mix, prepare, and apply paint, ink or other coating agents to products or materials to enhance and/or provide corrosion resistance per manufacturing requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine prepping /deprepping. Mix paints and inks with proper thinner solution to obtain correct consistency for application. Apply paint in accordance with product requirements. Mask parts and clean parts. Select holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials for proper application of paints. Verify finished parts meet specifications and blueprints using measuring devices.

Qualifications:

Attention to detail and being able to accomplish quality work in a fast paced environment is a must! Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience.
