Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join a local Alaska hardware business in Anchorage. You will support sales growth through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and relationship building with both new and existing customers.

In this role, you will respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person, prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on sales opportunities to close business.

Qualifications

• Previous inside sales, customer service, or related sales experience preferred.
• Hardware, building materials, construction, or industry-related experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Confident and professional phone and email communication.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal sales and inventory systems.
• Ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, and orders in a fast paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to achieve sales goals.
• Reliable, team focused, and willing to learn product and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
• Prepare accurate quotes, estimates, and sales proposals
• Follow up on quotes and open sales opportunities to help close business
• Process customer orders accurately and coordinate order fulfillment
• Develop repeat business through consistent customer service and follow-up
• Maintain knowledge of hardware, building materials, tools, and related products
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and other staff to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time
• Assist customers with product availability, pricing, lead times, and special orders
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information within company systems
• Help identify opportunities to increase sales and grow existing accounts
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and basic issue resolution in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales environment
