Velo3D is seeking an Hardware Engineering Technician to assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, optical, and pneumatic systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. You will participate in prototype through production release, ensuring performance, quality, and reliability while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, documentation updates, and active participation in cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working in a manufacturing or related engineering environment, ideally in capital equipment manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and optical assemblies and systems.
• Knowledge of sensors (pressure transducers, oxygen sensors, VFDs, etc.).
• Hands-on technician familiar with machining, forming, and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, optical, and pneumatic systems.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair subsystems built by third party suppliers.
• Perform system integration assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Guide new product introduction to manufacturing from prototype through pilot and production release.
