Job summary

Arista Networks, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the creation of industry-leading Cloud Networking Ethernet switches.

You will guide cross-functional teams through design and verification of a high-density, high-bandwidth product portfolio, translating strategy into executable steps. The role demands 10+ years of networking hardware experience, strong leadership, and deep expertise in high-speed PCB design, signal/power integrity, and DFMs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in networking hardware design.
• Proven leadership of hardware teams across multiple projects.
• Experience with high-layer count PCBs and high-speed design.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, PCIe, PoE, WiFi, PTP, MDIO.
• DFM and collaboration with CM/ODM/JDM.
• Strong communication and leadership with executive stakeholders.
• Experience with embedded x86/ARM system design.
• Experience with signal and power integrity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to hardware engineers for HW bring-up and cross-functional issues.
• Oversee HW schematic entry, layout supervision, board bring-up, and system debug.
• Translate high-level product direction into actionable design steps.
• Drive component vendor roadmaps to align with product roadmaps.
• Communicate project status and changes to mitigate issues.
• Participate in schematic and board design reviews.
• Mentor and manage a team of hardware engineers across levels.
• Identify and implement new processes and tools to improve productivity.
• Ensure prototype manufacturing capacity meets portfolio needs.
