Arista Networks, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to own the end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge Ethernet switching systems in Santa Clara, CA. You will drive specification, component selection, schematics, and collaboration with software and manufacturing teams.

The role requires 10+ years in hardware engineering, BSEE/MSEE, and deep experience with high-speed interfaces and PCB fabrication. Base compensation ranges with bonus/equity are discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience designing Networking Hardware, esp. 100G/200G PAM4 Ethernet switching.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware design process for high-speed Ethernet switches.
• Define specs, select components, and capture schematics.
• Collaborate with software, manufacturing, and CAD teams.
• Oversee PCB layout, stackup decisions, and signal integrity validation.
• Drive prototypes from lab bring-up to production with CM partners.
