Verkada is seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern for an in-person role at our San Mateo, CA office. You will collaborate with senior engineers to design, debug, and validate hardware products such as cameras, access control, and sensors.

The internship emphasizes circuit concepts, schematic capture, and board-level validation. Ideal candidates are pursuing Electrical Engineering or related fields and are available for a Winter Co-Op (4–12 months).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Available for Winter Co-Op, starting around January 4th, 2027/2028 for 4–12 months.
• Experience with electronic test equipment, schematic design, and board-level validation.
• Strong communication and hands-on mindset.
• Startup mindset with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced engineers to design, debug, and validate hardware products.
• Design and execute experiments to test circuit concepts.
• Schematic capture and layout for systems/test boards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to improve production efficiency.
