Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Product Design Mechanical Engineer Intern in San Mateo, CA to contribute to designing cameras, access control, sensors, and other enterprise IoT products. Verkada's PD engineers own the mechanical design from prototype to mass production and the intern will significantly impact future products.

You will join a small team in an in-person role based in our San Mateo office, with hands-on opportunities across design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Available for a Winter Co-Op starting around January 4th for 4–12 months.
• Strong understanding of strength of materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of products from concept to mass production.
• Join a small, fast-paced team making key design decisions with impact on future products.
• Prototype and analyze mechanical systems for enterprise hardware requirements.
