Job summary

KBR seeks a Systems Engineer for its Test & Validation Laboratory Hardware Support (part-time). The role focuses on maintaining and sustaining lab hardware, simulation infrastructure, and equipment to ensure readiness for test, evaluation, and mission rehearsal activities.

The selected candidate will troubleshoot hardware, support system integration, and coordinate maintenance with engineers, software developers, and government stakeholders to keep systems available and reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with hardware-intensive systems or lab environments.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade laboratory hardware systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on servers, workstations, networking equipment, displays, racks, storage systems.
• Diagnose hardware failures and coordinate replacement or repair activities.
• Monitor hardware lifecycle status and provide refresh recommendations.
• Support installation, integration, and configuration of new hardware components.
• Assist with system connectivity, testing activities, and overall lab operations.
