Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in the overall design of LRUs, including sustaining, design and development, layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build and testing of mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical components and systems.

The role involves coordinating with multiple groups, verifying firmware and software functionality, and contributing to design schedules. Travel to Japan and other locations is required about 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in electronics, mechanics and circuit design.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Sustaining design, analysis, build and test activities.
• Performs sustaining, design, development and planning including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build, and testing of mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical components and systems.
• Verify embedded firmware and higher level software functionality of the product.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Obsolescence, Product Planning and Material Planning departments for the selection and ordering of parts, materials, components, or processes with vendors and suppliers.
• Generate and update Design and Development schedules.
• Provide solutions and recommendations to project lead.
