Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced hardware design engineer to lead high-speed networking hardware development. You will work on SERDES, PCIe Gen5 interfaces, and power supply architecture for complex networking products.

The role requires hands-on CAD with Cadence, board bring-up, validation testing, and qualification of products to functional specs. Preferred skills include DDR5, NVMe/PCIe interfaces, and familiarity with optical interfaces such as QSFP

Qualifications

• High-Speed hardware design and failure analysis experience.
• 8+ years in hardware design for networking or similar complex products.
• Hands-on hardware design with high-speed interfaces (SERDES >25G, PCIe Gen5).
• Experience with QSFP/QSFP-DD/OSFP would be an advantage.
• DDR5, NVMe/PCIe interfaces experience.
• Complex power supply design for networking products.
• Cadence tool chain for schematic/CAD design.
• Board bring-up, hardware validation testing and failure analysis.
• Testing and qualification of networking products against functional specifications.

Job description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• High Speed Complex Hardware Design and Failure Analysis experience


• Must have 8+ yrs experience in the hardware design, specific networking or equally complex products


• Hands on with Hardware design with interfaces - High Speed SERDES (>25G), PCIe Gen 5 and above and experience with all low speed interfaces like SPI, I2C, MDIO, SMB etc.


• Working experience with optical interfaces like QSFP, QSFP DD, OSFP would be an advantage.


• Experience with DDR5, SSD NVME/PCIe based interfaces


• Worked on complex power supply designs and architecture for networking product


• Hands on with Cadence tool chain for schematic/CAD design.


• Must worked on board bring up, various hardware validation testing and failure analysis.


• Good at testing and validating networking products and must worked on qualification of networking products against functional specification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge on Mechanical and Thermal Design


• Signal Integrity and power Integrity analysis


• Manufacturing of electronic products

Salary Range

$100,000 - $130,000 a year
