Tata Consultancy Services in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced hardware design engineer to lead high speed signaling, networking interfaces, and power supply architectures for complex networking products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in hardware design, hands-on with SERDES (>25G), PCIe, DDR5, NVMe/PCIe, and Cadence tool chains, plus board bring-up and thorough validation. On-site role offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High Speed Complex Hardware Design and Failure Analysis experience.
• 8+ yrs experience in hardware design, networking or equivalent.
• Hands-on with HIGH SPEED SERDES (>25G) and PCIe interfaces.
• Experience with DDR5, SSD NVMe/PCIe interfaces.
• Cadence tool chain for schematic/CAD design and board bring-up.
• Hardware validation, testing and failure analysis to meet specs.
• Qualification of networking products against functional specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead high speed hardware design and failure analysis activities.
• Develop interfaces such as SERDES, PCIe and NVMe for complex networking products.
• Perform board bring-up, validation testing and fault isolation.
• Validate signaling, power integrity and thermal performance.
• Collaborate to qualify networking products against specifications.

• Hands on with Hardware design with interfaces – High Speed SERDES (>25G), PCIe

Gen 5 and above and experience with all low speed interfaces like SPI, I2C, MDIO, SMB etc.

• Working experience with optical interfaces like QSFP, QSFP DD, OSFP would be an advantage.
• Experience with DDR5, SSD NVME/PCIe based interfaces
• Worked on complex power supply designs and architecture for networking product
• Hands on with Cadence tool chain for schematic/CAD design.
• Must worked on board bring up, various hardware validation testing and failure analysis.
• Good at testing and validating networking products and must worked on qualification of networking products against functional specification.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 a year
