Job summary

Supermicro in San Jose is seeking a motivated Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and develop enterprise server motherboards and GPU platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle.

You will perform hardware design, system validation, debugging, and provide production support. Domestic and international travel is required to support customer issues and new product introductions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 1–2 years hardware design or server platforms experience.
• Familiarity with PCB layout review and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Debug board-level and system-level issues and identify root causes.
• Design and develop enterprise server motherboards and add-on cards.
• Review PCB layouts with layout engineers for quality and manufacturability.
• Prepare engineering docs, BOMs, validation reports, test procedures and debugging guides.
• Support production and field issue investigations.
