Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to configure, validate, and optimize data-center hardware from design to mass production. You’ll work closely with engineering, sales, and supply chain to translate customer needs into scalable solutions and robust documentation.

You will lead first article builds, coordinate BOM validation and hardware optimization, and provide technical input to designers and teams to drive new ideas forward. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 8-10+ years of hardware engineering experience with rack architecture, networking gear, and power/cooling tech.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience with wiki/project-tracking software (Confluence, JIRA) and PLM systems is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing environments or ODM/OEM collaboration to develop and launch products.
• Willingness to travel (5%+ domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on customers’ design and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering on server, rack, and networking BOM-level integration.
