Job summary

Hyve Solutions seeks a hands-on Hardware Engineer to configure, validate, and optimize data center hardware from concept to production. You’ll collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain to bring cutting-edge server, storage, and networking solutions to customers.

Responsibilities include leading first article builds, BOM validation, hardware optimization, and driving smooth transitions from NPI to mass production while maintaining vendor relationships and documentation rigor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Hardware Engineer with deep understanding of rack architecture, network gear (switches, optics, cables), and power/cooling technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience with Wiki/Project tracking software (Confluence, JIRA) and PLM systems (Agile or similar) is a plus.

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

As a Hardware Engineer, you'll play a critical role in configuring, validating, and optimizing hardware solutions tailored to customer needs. You'll collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to bring cutting-edge data center hardware from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to travel (5%+ domestic/international)

Compensation: $135k to $175K DOE
