Job summary

Hyve Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to configure, validate, and optimize data center hardware for custom needs. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain to move concepts to production.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in hardware design, with strong communication, documentation, and PLM tool experience; travel 5%+ domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years as Hardware Engineer with rack, network gear, and power/cooling knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA and PLM systems is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or ODM/OEM partnerships and travel 5%+.

Responsibilities

• Review and feedback on customers’ design and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering on server, rack, and networking integration at the BOM level.
• Lead first article builds and manage production documentation.
• Provide technical input to designers and engineers to drive ideas forward.
• Work with Engineering, TPM, Supply Chain and Purchasing to transition from NPI to mass production.
• Coordinate ECN/ECO processes in PLM systems.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
