Job summary

AlpHa Measurement Solutions in Houston seeks a Hardware Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design and hands-on build authority for the transmitter platform. You will design the analog front-end, 4-20mA loop output, and isolation, while collaborating with firmware and mechanical engineers on a cross-functional team.

You’ll bring bench skills for prototype bring-up, power budgeting, and certification prep for IEC/UL/C1D2, with a strong emphasis on test and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; associate degree considered.
• Experience designing analog/mixed-signal circuits for industrial/instrumentation.
• Hands-on bench skills: SMT soldering, rework, oscilloscope, DMM proficiency.
• Schematic capture in Altium Designer or equivalent.
• Ability to read firmware code to collaborate on hardware‑firmware integration.
• Familiarity with EMC practices and industry certifications (UL/FM/CSA/CE).

Responsibilities

• Design transmitter analog front-end signal chain and 4-20mA output stage.
• Produce schematics and PCB layouts; manage BOM and revision control.
• Bench bring-up: power sequencing, calibration, and characterization.
• Support testing, certification, and manufacturing readiness.
