AlpHa Measurement Solutions in Houston, TX, seeks a Hardware Electrical Engineer to own electrical design and hands-on build for a next‑generation transmitter platform. The role blends circuit design, schematic capture, and bench prototyping to deliver loop‑powered 4‑20 mA transmitters with Modbus RTU and hazardous location certification.

The candidate will work alongside Firmware and Mechanical Engineers on the core platform, perform power budgeting, ensure EMC/compliance, and contribute to

Qualificações

• Experience designing analog/mixed-signal circuits for industrial/instrumentation applications.
• Hands-on bench skills: SMT soldering, rework, oscilloscope and DMM.
• Ability to design 4–20 mA loop-powered transmitter circuits and isolation techniques.
• Familiar with EMC design practices and industrial certifications (UL/FM/CSA/CE).

Responsabilidades

• Design transmitter analog front-end signal chain with precision amplification and low-noise ADC interfaces.
• Develop and validate the 4–20 mA loop-powered output stage and isolation where required.
• Lead board bring-up, power sequencing, and prototype characterization.
• Collaborate with Firmware and Mechanical Engineers on integrated platform design.
• Support certification testing and documentation for FM/UL/CSA/CE where applicable.
