Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Hardware Engineer to contribute to the development of Advanced Customer Terminal Products for the Amazon Leo initiative. You will design high-speed digital and RF circuits, lead PCB layout reviews, and help bring the boards from concept to production.

Collaborate across teams, create test plans, validate components, subsystems, and support transition to mass production while aligning with export controls and company-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent.
• 1-2 years hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience.

As a Hardware Engineer, You Will Be a Part Of The Team Of Experts Working On The Development Of Advanced Customer Terminal Products. You Will Own Or Contribute To The Following

• Design high-speed digital and/or RF circuits in collaboration with various teams


• Design and optimization of different blocks of electronics sub-systems


• Schematic capture and lead PCB layout design and reviews


• Design DC/DC power supplies and Point of Load


• Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures


• Board bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems


• Support design automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test


• Support the transition of the designs to mass production

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent


• 1-2 years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations


• Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
