Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking an Electrical Design / Hardware Engineer in Gaithersburg, MD for a direct hire. The role involves end-to-end hardware design, including architecture, schematic development, PCB layout, and validation of high-speed digital systems.

You will design PCBA, perform SI/PI analyses, and collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration. A BS in EE/CE and 3+ years in hardware are required, with on-site work in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on hardware development experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics).
• Experience with PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SERDES; strong SI/PI fundamentals.
• On-site work in a secure development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBA for high-performance systems.
• Perform high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.
• Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware validation.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams for integration.
• Develop hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification test plans.
• Document design specs, test procedures, and reports.
